COVID-19 cases appear to be on track to show a surge for the fourth consecutive week across the globe, reported the World Health Organization (WHO).
Following a decline for six weeks in January and February, COVID cases are now rising in most parts of the world. Deaths appear to be coming down, though the rate is slow. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the trends are concerning as the world continues to face the impact of variants, opening up of societies, as well as inequity in vaccine rollout.
